The Steelers have officially announced Arthur Smith as their new offensive coordinator. The former Atlanta Falcons head coach told Steelers.com said it’s exciting to work with the young talent the Steelers have on offense and as far as the quarterback, he said he will first have to build a relationship with Kenny Pickett and that the two of them will have to build a trust between them. He said the Steelers have a lot of exciting players on offense.
Smith will take the reins from running backs coach Eddie Faulker and quarterback coach Mike Sullivan.
The Steelers have signed well-traveled defensive back Nate Meadors to a reserve/future contract. He was a late-season signee to the Steelers’ practice squad. He’s previously been with the Vikings, Giants, Jaguars, Eagles, Titans, and Browns, and played in the XFL.
The Super Bowl competitors have landed in Las Vegas. The Chiefs and 49ers landed about an hour apart from each other last night. Super Bowl Opening Night kicks off tonight when players and coaches make their only public appearance before the game. Opening night is also the only time both teams will be together in one location before game night.
