A Clearfield County man accused of sexual assault entered guilty pleas Friday morning in Indiana County Court.
Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi said 63-year-old Manas J. Lee of Westover pleaded guilty to five counts of first-degree rape, one count of attempted rape, and one second-degree misdemeanor charge of sexual intercourse with an animal in connection with an incident in 2022.
State police received a report that Lee had sexually assaulted a victim approximately 20 years ago, and more people accused him of sexually assaulting them during the investigation. They also claimed to have witnessed Lee assaulting several individuals as well as a horse.
Charges were filed through Magisterial Judge Christopher Welch’s office and Lee was placed in Indiana County Jail after failing to post $500,000 cash bail. He was ordered to comply with a state-regulated sex offender assessment.
Lee will go for sentencing May 31.
