No injuries were reported in a structure fire reported in Burrell Township this afternoon.
Indiana County 911 dispatched fire crews from Black Lick, Blairsville, Indiana, Coral/Graceton, Homer City, Armaugh, Clyde and Coal Run, as well as the Indiana County Hazmat team, to a reported fire at the Hampton Inn and Suites located along Pine Ridge Road near the Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort and Conference Center shortly after 2 p.m.
Hotel personnel said they were notified of a smoke alarm going off in room 318, and when they opened the door, they saw smoke inside the room. They proceeded to close the door and call 911.
Black Lick Fire Chief Josh Hutchison said that the cause of the fire was a TV that was inside the room; however no damage was reported to the room itself.
Fire crews were able to control the fire quickly and take the TV out of the room shortly after 3:10 p.m., and you can view photos of it below:
