At Steelers minicamp yesterday, coach Mike Tomlin said the team worked on correcting and learning from what he saw in Tuesday’s session. He said it was a good day of “teaching and learning”, especially for his young secondary, which is anchored by 12-year veteran Joe Haden.
Tomlin also commented on the wide receiver group’s versatility and the offensive line.
Tomlin was seen after the practice having a deep conversation with quarterback Dwayne Haskins, the former number-one Washington draft pick and starter who was let go by that team because of poor play and maturity issues. The coach said he is just trying to get to know the talented Haskins.
With Maurkice Pouncey retired, Al Villanueva now playing for Baltimore, and David DeCastro the only established offensive line starter left, Tomlin was asked who will be the leader on the offensive line.
The three-day minicamp ends today at Heinz Field.
