At their meeting on Tuesday, members of the ARIN Intermediate Unit 28 Board of Directors made several personnel matters, including the appointment of four board elected officers.
The Board named Dr. Frank Prazenica Jr. of Freeport Area School District as President; Charles Glasser (Marion Center) as Vice President; Danielle Patterson (ARIN IU 28) as Secretary; and Clifford Geary (ARIN IU 28) as Treasurer.
In addition, The Board appointed Tucker Arensberg, P.C., Gary Gushard, Esq, as solicitor for the 2021-22 school year at an hourly rate of $120. The board also approved seven resignations, 15 employments – including several substitute teaching positions – and one change of employment during the meeting.
In other business, The Board approved and authorized the renewal of the Education Leading to Employment and Career Training (ELECT) funds given from the PA Department of Education, as well as the Department of Public Welfare, that will go towards providing counseling and educational services to pregnant women and students at an amount of $224,000.
