State police are investigating the theft of an ATV in Saltsburg Borough in late May. Police say that between 10 PM on May 23rd and 6:30 the next morning, someone took a 2019 Tao-Tao ATV, a green Simpson racing helmet and a black FR Racing jacket and other items from a home in the 500 block of Walnut Street. The value of the stolen goods comes to over $1500.
No one was hurt as a tractor-trailer truck caught fire on Route 22 last Thursday. State police say that 31-year-old Timothy Grove was driving on Route 22 West near the Route 403 on ramp when the 4th axle of his truck caught fire. Vehicles driving in the left lane were able to notify the driver of what was going on, and Grove was able to pull over safely on the side of the road. The trailer was removed from the scene by a private towing company, while the truck left under its own power.
