A Philadelphia man who pleaded guilty last month in a shooting and a home invasion robbery faces a preliminary hearing today in a new case, this time for the alleged sexual assault of a child.
Charges of statutory sexual assault, indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age, and corruption of minors were filed against 21-year-old Thomas Edward Lindsay on May 11th, eight days after he pleaded guilty to robbery, aggravated assault, and carrying a firearm without a license for separate incidents last year in which he and two other defendants robbed a White Township couple in their home, and for firing three shots at a man with whom he’d had an argument in Indiana Borough. He’s scheduled for sentencing in those cases on July 23rd.
Lindsay also was sentenced in 2018 to six month 23 months in prison plus two years probation for robbery in another case.
The new charges are for an incident in August of 2019 in White Township. Lindsay is due before District Judge Chris Welch at 8:30 this morning. He’s being held on $250,000 bond at the Indiana County Jail.
