The Children’s Advisory Commission of Indiana County is ready to hold their annual Family Naturepalooza at Blue Spruce Park today.
The event is open to everyone today from 9-3 at Blue Spruce Park will feature several different events, ranging from rocketry demonstrations to a scavenger hunt. There will also be live animal displays, a bike rodeo and other activities. Lisa Spencer with the Department of Human Services, says that this day is meant to be enjoyed by the whole family.
As part of the Family Naturepalooza, the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development announced that the Indiana County Decathlon will wrap up today. The decathlon was held between February and today, and this year, it was made up of self-guided walks that people could work into their schedules. Those who took part and submitted pictures on the Office of Planning and Development Facebook page have been entered into a drawing for prizes, which will be held at 1:00 near Pavilion 1.
