The average cost of a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania is down slightly from last week at this time.
After the averages went up ahead of the Memorial Day weekend, the average gas price in Pennsylvania is now $3.15 a gallon, according to Triple-A. That’s down a penny from last week. Last month, the average cost of a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania was $3.00, while last year, during the pandemic, gas prices were at $2.24 a gallon.
The national average is now at $3.04 a gallon, up a penny from last week.
Indiana County’s average is now at $3.17 a gallon as of this morning. That ties it with Westmoreland and Armstrong counties. Clearfield, Cambria and Jefferson Counties have $3.19 a gallon averages. The lowest average cost in Pennsylvania is Lebanon County at $3.09 a gallon. Pike County in the northeast has the highest average in the state at $3.22 a gallon.
Gas prices this morning in Indiana Borough and Center and White Townships is at $3.19 a gallon, while Blairsville and Clymer gas stations are reporting $3.15 a gallon.
