For the second week in a row, the rate of new flu infections has gone down in Pennsylvania, although the case count remains very high. After rising by more than 12,000 cases two weeks ago, the number of flu cases rose by 8,714, to 68,555.
The death rate from flu rose slightly, from 67 to 103 across the commonwealth.
The flu rate fell again in Indiana County last week. There have been 364 cases of lab-confirmed flu this season. There were 27 new cases since the last weekly report, a week after there were 34 new cases, and two weeks after there were 94.
RSV cases rose by 11, to 108.
