A Marion Center man was sentenced this week for failing to comply with Meghan’s Law requirements.
District Attorney Robert Manzi announced that 60-year-old Robert Adams was ordered to serve between five and ten years in state prison for not registering his address with authorities.
He had been convicted of indecent assault in 2019 and was ordered to comply with Meghan’s Law requirements, including a requirement that he not live with anyone under the age of 18. In November of 2020, state police said Adams provided them with an address, but they found he was not living there. He was later found living at another property where children were living.
Manzi said in a statement that the “registration and notification process helps alert neighbors so we can protect our families.” He also praised the state police for their work in this investigation.
