The Penguins face an elimination game tonight in New York as they try to stay alive against the Islanders, who lead their best-of-seven series three games to two after a double-overtime win Monday night.
Among the hurdles they must overcome are the outstanding play of Islanders goalie Ilya Sorokin, who stopped 48 out of 50 shots on goal Monday night, and the struggles of their own goaltender, Tristan Jarry, whose giveaway in the second OT Monday handed the Islanders the win.
Coach Mike Sullivan says the Penguins believe in themselves, and in Tristan Jarry.

The Penguins have lost three consecutive elimination games in the last three years.
Goaltender Casey DeSmith continues to miss practice and did not accompany the team to Long Island. Bryan Rust had an excused absence from practice to spend time with his wife and newborn baby, and Jason Zucker missed for a maintenance day.
Tonight’s game is scheduled for faceoff at 6:38 PM. The pregame begins at 5:30 on 92.5 FM U92 and the U92 Sportschannel.
