Emergency crews got their weekend off to a busy start after responding to five incidents Friday night.
Indiana County 911 reports that fire crews from Plumville, Dayton and Rural Valley, along with Citizens Ambulance and Pennsylvania State Police, responded to a reported structure fire along Dayton Smicksburg Road in West Mahoning Township. Fire crews from Marion Center, Creekside and Perry Township were called into assist around 8:17.
Fire officials from Marion Center say an Amish sawmill caught fire around 8:10 p.m. where flames were visible from the outside. They report no injuries, but did not say how much damage there was nor did they report the cause of the fire.
Around 11 p.m., Commodore fire crews responded to a reported vehicle fire along Coe Ave. in Green Township. And crews from Blairsville, Blacklick and Coral/Graceton were dispatched for an automatic fire alarm in Burrell Township.
Fire crews from Creekside rounded out Friday’s slate of calls after reporting to a downed tree in White Township.
