The 35th Annual Mario Luther Charity Golf Classic went on without a hitch on Friday. The outing benefits the Women’s Imaging Center at the Indiana Regional Medical Center by raising funds to purchase new equipment and other items to keep up with advancements in medical technology.
After the outing was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reports say that 144 golfers participated in the event. Mario Luther said that he had to turn away some golfers due to the overwhelming amount of interest.
Heather Reed of the Indiana Healthcare Foundation was also thankful for all the support.
The winning team consisted of Evan Bertig, Ian Helsel, Danny Clark and Cullen Moore, who shot 14-under par in a round of 57.
While an exact amount of funds raised won’t be released for a few days, it was reported that more than $10,000 was raised by participating teams for the Women’s Imaging Center.
