Earlier today, several union leaders and members of state government met for a rally in Pittsburgh to protest Governor Wolf’s actions to force Pennsylvania to join the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
In attendance at the rally at the West End Overlook Park in Pittsburgh was Shawn Steffee representing the Boilermakers 154, who acknowledged that they not only saw support from State Representatives Jim Struzzi and Pam Snyder along with State Senator Joe Pittman, but a bipartisan group of other members of state government.
Pittman talked about how the solution to the climate challenges are actually in the region already.
Struzzi said that it’s now important that the message of how harmful RGGI can be be spread across the state.
The rally was put on by the Power PA Jobs Initiative.
