Even as yesterday’s Primary election was in progress, the Indiana Area School District was compelled to issue another statement on seemingly deceptive practices by a slate of candidates for school board.
Superintendent Michael Vuckovich said in the statement that there were two new inquiries “about text messages being sent on behalf of another set of candidates running for school board.” Over the weekend, the district said that email messages had been sent. This time it was texts.
As in the first incident, Vuckovich made clear that the district had not released an email or cell phone information to any individual or group running for the board, saying that they’d done an exhaustive search of their systems and found no data breaches. He wrote that they don’t know where the candidates obtained the information, but they will “make sure no wrongdoing occurred on the part of the district or…employees.”
