This morning’s snowstorm has brought on several power outages across Indiana County.
Penelec reports 1,170 customers across the county are without power at this time. Nearly 25 percent of outages are in Center Township, while 205 affected customers are in Blairsville Borough, 171 are in Burrell Township and 158 are in East Wheatfield Township.
Officials say customers in Conemaugh Township should see power restored soon, while those affected in Saltsburg Borough could have power as soon as 5 PM. Other areas, including the ones previously mentioned have no set restoration time, and customers are encouraged to check out their website to find out when power will be back.
REA Energy reports 967 of its customers in Indiana County are also without power. 66 percent of them are in Canoe Township. No restoration time has been announced for those customers.
