Three people have been charged with trying to steal from the Walmart in White Township late last month. State police were called to the store at 4:05 PM last Saturday, December 30th on a call of retail theft. Police discovered 19-year-old Dorothy Cronan of Indiana, and 20-year-olds Christia Quesada-Rivera and Shakier Jarman, both of Philadelphia, allegedly tried to steal nearly $400 worth of merchandise from Walmart. Non-traffic citations were filed against all three at District Judge Susanne Steffee’s office.
State police are investigating a case of assault at SCI-Pine Grove on Thursday. Troopers say the incident was reported at 6:30 PM as an unnamed 19-year-old Pittsburgh man assaulted a 27-year-old state correctional officer from Nanty-Glo. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
