Adam Frazier extended his hitting streak to 12 games and hit his first home run of the season last night. Shelton says Frazier always gives the Pirates good at-bats.
The Pirates continued to shuffle the roster yesterday, placing reliever Kyle Crick on the injured list with a right triceps strain and replacing him with lefty Chasen Shreve, who was signed in the offseason after spending last season with the Mets. Outfielder Gregory Polanco was reinstated from the injured list, with the Pirates still not offering an explanation for why he was on it.

Roansy Contreras threw six no-hit innings and struck out eleven batters as Altoona won its third straight game, 5-0 over Binghampton. Jeffrey Passantino finished the final three innings, giving up only one hit but striking out six. Canaan Smith-Njigba was 3-4 and Oneil Cruz blasted a 2-run home run in the 6th inning for the Curve.
