United’s Ben Tomb singles, doubled, and homered, and drive in six. Hunter Cameron has three hits and Wade Plowman had four RBI.
Bradley Felix got the win, with a scoreless 5th inning in which he struck out three. Tomb started the game for the Lions and and pitched three innings, striking out nine, adding to his season total of 110, which leads the state.
United must take two days off due to a district-wide covid-cleaning of the high school and the suspension of extracurricular activities.
Saltsburg 18 Homer Center 3
The Trojans broke open the game with a 12-run 6th inning, as Santino Bartolini, Angelo Bartolini, Rocco Bartolini, and Matt Izzo each drove in runs. Saltsburg had 11 hits, seven stolen bases, and did not commit an error. Brady Yard earned the win, with 6 innings pitched, 3 runs, 5 hits, and six strikeouts. Michael Krejocic was 3-3 for Homer Center.
Indiana 12, Burrell 0 (5 innings)
Indiana scored four runs in each of the 1st, 3rd, and 4th innings. Gavin Homer, Ben Ryen, and Branden Kanick each had two hits. Kanick homered and drove in four; Homer and Ryen each tripled and Homer drove in three. Lucas Connel pitched 4 innings and struck out 7, with 2 hits and 2 walks, to earn the win.

Blairsville 4, Penns Manor 1
Blairsville’s Hannah Foust pitched a complete game for her ninth win as she struck out 13. She also clubbed a solo home run. Madison Stutzman had 2 RBI; Brin Gardner an RBI and a triple. For Penns Manor, Kassidy Smith hit an RBI single in the first inning.
