The IUP women’s tennis team downed Slippery Rock 4-2 yesterday in the semifinals of the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional at the University of Charleston in West Virginia.
IUP earned the doubles point with wins at #2 and #3 as Joanna Stralka returned to action for the first time since being injured in the season opener on February 13th. She and Laura Dunarova won at #3 doubles, while Karolin Kirchtag and Katy Graydon won at #2. IUP took the singles with wins at #2, #3, #4 and #5.
IUP is 17-0 in Atlantic Regional play since 2011 and will take on #1 seed Charleston at 11:00 AM today. They played Charleston on April 10th and lost, 4-3.
