The Love of Life 5k hit record participation levels today.
Despite the day starting out with grey skies and temperatures in the lower 40’s, The annual run/walk to benefit the woman’s imaging center at IRMC had the highest number of walkers and runners, with 500 runners taking part. Heather Reed with the Indiana Healthcare Foundation was overjoyed with the turnout.
While the exact totals are still being added up, Reed did say it would be above $15,000 for this year’s run, and the money for this year’s love of life 5k will be put towards a new 3-d mammography machine.
