After COVID-19 canceled last year’s event, it was announced earlier today that the Westylvania Jazz & Blues Festival will return to Indiana County this summer. Downtown Indiana announced the festival’s return on Facebook with an anticipated date of Saturday, May 29th, just days before Gov. Tom Wolf will lift mitigation orders across the state.
Festival spokesperson Tracy Levitz said that they will continue to monitor CDC guidelines from now until the date, but she adds that there are measures in place to ensure the safety of guests.
The festival also plans to move the festival from its original location at IRMC Park to Philadelphia Street. It will spread from the 700-block to the 900-block, and Levitz said the site change is part of the health and safety measures.
More information on the festival’s return can be found by visiting Downtown Indiana’s Facebook page under the “Events” tab.
