A Cherry Tree man is charged with smuggling illegal materials into the Indiana County Jail for inmates while he worked at the facility. State police say that 50-year-old Bradley Wholaver at various dates and times smuggled numerous boxes of nicotine pouches into the jail facility for prisoners while he worked there as a corrections officer.
State police are investigating a case of theft by deception out of Center Township that was reported on Monday. Troopers say that on May 3rd, it was reported that $539 was stolen out of the bank account of 30-year-old Chelsea Capelle of Coral. Police determined that 29-year-old Devin Butler of Blairsville somehow acquired Capelle’s debit card and made 13 transactions to himself.
State troopers are investigating a case of theft that happened between May 3rd and the 5th. Police say that a brown leather bi-fold wallet, $63 in cash and various cards were stolen from vehicles owned by a 63-year-old Indiana man and a 36-year-old Indiana woman on Lutz School Road in White Township.
