Three graduation ceremonies will be held today at the KCAC as 1,317 bachelor’s degrees will be handed out by IUP in its first undergraduate commencement since before the pandemic.
The first commencement exercise takes place at 8:30 this morning for the College of Education and Communications, College of Fine Arts, and College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Ceremonies scheduled for 12:30 will be for students in the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology and the John J. and Char Kopchick College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and at 4:30 this afternoon will be the ceremonies for students at the College of Health and Human Services. Of the 1,317 students receiving bachelor’s degrees today, 745 qualify for latin honors with a GPA of 3.25 or better.
Masks will be required for the limited audience at the KCAC, but masks and hand sanitizer will be provided at the arena. After each ceremony, the facility will undergo a thorough cleaning and sanitization.
Designated parking lots will be made available for the ceremonies at no charge. Parking attendants will be on hand to direct drivers to available lots and parking spaces. Complimentary shuttle service is available today until 7 PM to provide transportation to and from the parking areas. A parking and shuttle map is available on the IUP commencement website, along with YouTube streams for those unable to attend in person today.
