As we enter the new year, the Powerball jackpot continues to grow.
No one hit the jackpot in Saturday’s drawing, so the Powerball jackpot will increase to an estimated $810 million annuity prize for tonight’s drawing. Those taking the cash option will see a $408.9 million prize. This will mark the 10th largest U.S. lottery jackpot and the 5th largest jackpot offered in Powerball’s history. The last time the jackpot was hit was on October 11th of 2023 when a ticket in California won over $1.7 billion. Since then, there have been 34 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in about 292 million.
