During Thursday’s IUP Council of Trustees meeting, university president Dr. Michael Driscoll said that enrollment for the next two semesters looks good.
Driscoll was happy with the fact that enrollment for the summer semester was higher than where it was last year, and Driscoll attributed that to some students wanting to make up for some learning lost during the pandemic. As far as the fall semester goes, the university, as of right now is on the right path to make their projected enrollment goal.
When it came to the recent workforce reduction, Driscoll wanted to quell a rumor that there are more reductions on the way.
In other business from the meeting, the board approved several resolutions, including naming the tutoring room at the new Kopchick Hall as the Admiral’s Study in honor of Rear Admiral CJ Jaynes of the U.S. Navy and naming the Humanities and Social Sciences building Jane E. Leonard Hall.
