Some Heritage Conference athletes were recognized for their on-field efforts as MaxPreps released its latest PIAA individual stat leaders this morning.
Saltsburg’s Brady Yard ranks third in home runs in the state with six. Yard also ranks second in the state in batting average after hitting .667.
On the mound, West Shamokin’s Niko Buffone and United’s Ben Tomb ranks in earned run average. Buffone is tied for first with a 0.00 ERA, while Tomb carries a 0.18 ERA – earning him 16th place.
Tomb ranks first in strikeouts – standing just two punch-outs shy of 100 on the season – and tied for first in wins with seven.
