The White Township Supervisors will submit a request for PennDOT, asking them to cover the cost of purchasing property to install a cul de sac.
The area in question is Risinger Road, which ends at a straight on dead-end with no turnaround capability for larger vehicles like school buses. Milt Lady said that after the township supervisors took their fall road tour, they discussed the idea of the Risinger Road cul de sac and said there were too many unknown costs to handle it themselves. That and PennDOT said they have a responsibility for the hardships suffered by the residents of that road.
In other business, the supervisors got an update on the Muller Road realignment project. Marsh Contracting said that work would be done this week on the project, but an extension of time was needed for sub-contractors to finish certain jobs.
