Today is the day the traffic pattern shifts in the Route 119 Grove Chapel Climbing Lane project in Rayne Township, and drivers should expect delays as the switch is made.
PennDOT says traffic will be shifted onto the new Route 119 alignment between Musser Road and Rayne Township School Drive. Also, traffic will be detoured off Kimmel Road, using 119 and Dehaven Road, as crews prepare to reconstruct the 119/Kimmel Road intersection.
The three-year $16 million project involves the construction of a truck climbing lane, realignment of horizontal and vertical curves and the installation of left turn lanes. It’s scheduled for completion next summer.
