State Police have released the statistics for their efforts as part of Homecoming Weekend.
For their part of the detail that ran from Thursday, October Fourth to Sunday, October 7th, State Police made a total of 16 DUI arrests, seven arrests for public drunkenness arrests, four arrests each for drug offenses and for disorderly conduct, two underage drinking arrests and one arrest each for criminal mischief and for resisting arrest.
State Police also handed out 387 citations over the weekend, of which 311 were traffic-related. Fifty eight written warnings were issued. Troopers also investigated 16 crashes and assisted motorists on two occasions.
State Police did not break down their statistics on which incidents involved IUP students and which ones were non-students. It should also be noted that there were no founded incidents of simple or aggravated assault over the weekend.
