Last night, the Indiana School Board announced that there would be a special meeting coming up next Monday night.
Board President Walter Schroth announced that next Monday at the Buildings, Grounds and Transportation Committee meeting, Architect Innovations will be there to discuss the progress of the feasibility study the district contracted them to do. The meeting will also give the chance for the school board and the community to give their input into this study. Terry Kerr, the chair of the Buildings, Grounds and Transportation committee talked about how important it is for the community to take part.
Kerr said they will focus on short- and and long-term solutions for the district, and the public participation will allow them to give their input so that there’s community buy-in and do the projects correctly.
That meeting will start at 6:00 next Monday at the district’s offices at East Pike.
In other business, the board unanimously approved sending three teachers to the Summit Learning Fall Conference in New Jersey later this month. The board further requested that those teachers prepare reports to give to the Academic Committee on what was being taught at the conference.
