The Commonwealth Financing Authority yesterday approved funding for 116 multi-modal transportation projects in 45 counties, including $875,000 for three projects in Indiana County. The money for those three projects combines with more than $3 million previously awarded for seven other projects to make a total of $3,956,887 in infrastructure improvements in the county.
The latest funding includes $500,000 for White Township’s Acorn Street Extension Project, $225,000 for South Mahoning Township to resurface Pearce Road, and $150,000 for a second phase of reconstruction on Redding Run Road in Washington Township.
The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Financing Authority provides the money for road, rail, traffic safety, walking and bicycle trails, public transportation, and air transportation projects.
