Indiana borough council met last night and approved two job descriptions for two different positions within the borough.
One of the positions that was approved is for a parking coordinator, which according to Borough Council Member Katherine Hood said the Parking Coordinator will be in charge of the Parking Garage and all other parking in the borough. Hood said that they want it to be a job that could become a lengthy career for someone.
The other job description approved was for a planning and zoning official. Both of those job descriptions will be included in upcoming ads for those jobs.
In other news, the borough council accepted the Stormwater Management Implementation Plan that was created by Stiffler-McGraw. This plan will address some of Indiana Borough’s Stormwater Issues. Council member Gerald Smith said that the new plan was needed, as it’s been a while since the plans have been updated.
The plan will be approved at a later meeting, with a hope that the plan will be made available to the public in January.
