A preliminary hearing is set for today for a man charged with threatening state troopers and scattering nails on the roadway in Buffington Township earlier this month.
State troopers charged 23-year-old Mark McCloskey of Homer City with terroristic threats, criminal trespass, resisting arrest and scattering trash for an incident on December 5th. Troopers were dispatched to a home on Route 403 for a report of a man scattering rubbish, including throwing nails on the roadway. When police confronted him, he allegedly threatened to slit their throats before he eventually fled. He was found hiding on the second floor of a nearby barn.
The hearing is scheduled for 11:00 this morning before District Judge Susanne Steffee.
