The PennDOT office of Public-Private Partnerships has announced that they will accept unsolicited proposals for transportation projects from now until the end of the year.
This applies to PennDOT-owned projects and infrastructure. During this time, the private sector can submit proposals that would offer innovative ways to deliver transportation projects across a variety of products, including roads, bridges, railroads, aviation and sea ports. Private sector businesses can also submit applications for non-PennDOT owned assets directly to the P-3 board during this time frame as well.
The state’s P-3 Law allows PennDOT and other transportation entities to partner with private companies to participate in delivering, maintaining, and financing transportation-related projects. Such an example of the P-3’s cooperation is the recent string of rapid bridge replacement projects with Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners.
