The Westmoreland County coroner says the cause and manner of death of a New Florence woman are pending the results of an autopsy, toxicology results, and a police investigation.
The body of 71-year-old Alice Ilene Robson was discovered at her home along Furnace Lane in St. Clair Township on Thursday. She’d been reported missing earlier in the week.
Coroner Timothy Carson said in a statement that the district attorney’s office is investigating. The woman’s husband, Lyle Robson, told WTAE-TV that the body was found underneath a back porch and that he was told by police that she’d died from head injuries suffered on Monday night. Neither police nor the DA’s office have commented publicly.
