Along with some calls reported yesterday afternoon, firefighters were called out early this morning for a fire that destroyed a mobile home.
Indiana County 911 dispatched the Cherry Tree, Commodore, Clymer and Glen Campbell fire departments along with the RIT team and Citizens’ Ambulance at 12:01 this morning. Hope fire department was called in to assist about 20 minutes later.
Cherry Tree Volunteer Fire Department representatives say the structure was fully involved by the time they got there. The home was a total loss, but was unoccupied at the time. It’s believed that the cause may be suspicious in nature, but due to the extent of the damage, fire crews agreed to not call the state police fire marshals.
Crews were on the scene for about two hours.
