Police reports for Sunday include an incident involving threats made online against a school district by a student, and the theft of a fire hydrant cap.
A 13-year-old boy will be charged through Indiana County Juvenile Probation after allegedly making a social media threat against the Purchase Line School District. State police were dispatched to the high school Thursday after some students reported the Instragram threats to school officials. Police determined that the threats were not credible and there was no danger to students or staff. The boy, who is a student at the school, did not have access to firearms.
Indiana Borough Police say someone stole a fire hydrant cap in the 500 block of Oak Street. The theft was discovered yesterday. They ask anyone with information to call them at 349-2121.
