UPDATE: The crash site has been cleared as of 8:20 AM, according to Terry Gardner, Homer City Fire Chief. There may be some residual traffic approaching Homer City just north of the crash site.
WHAT WE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED
At least one person is injured in a collision between a motorcycle and a truck on Route 119 just south of Homer City.
Reports say that the crash was near the intersection of 119 and Benamatti drive, and it was reported by Indiana County 911 at 7:03 this morning. A motorcycle crashed into the back of a pickup truck. One person was to be flown from the scene, but life-flight was cancelled due to foggy conditions. The person who was injured was eventually taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Route 119 northbound between Benamatti Drive and Ridge Avenue is closed at this time, but it’s expected to re-open very soon, according to Homer City Fire Chief Terry Gardner.
