REA Energy customers in some areas of White Township are without power.
According to their website, REA Energy reported that the outage started at 4:13 PM, affecting 1,443 customers right now close to White’s Woods to the north and to the southernmost part of Route 56 outside of the Homer City limits. The outages are also affecting some areas of Indiana Borough served by Penelec, with over 500 Penelec customers affected.
Crews have been dispatched to fix the outage. Penelec says power may be restored by 7:30 PM tonight.
