With the weather turning more pleasant, many motorcyclists have been checking their bikes and getting ready to take them out on the road for the first time this season. The Pennsylvania State Police want to remind everyone to be careful as they hit the road.
State Police Public Information Officer Cliff Greenfield talks about some things drivers should keep in mind if they see a motorcycle on the road.
Greenfield also said that motorcyclists should also keep in mind that they have to be aware of their environment at all times.
In 2019, State police say 174 motorcycle riders were killed in crashes on Pennsylvania Roads and Highways, which represents 16% of the fatalities on Pennsylvania roads that year.
