The Teddy Bear Fund Drive collection week continued Wednesday at the 700 Shop in Downtown Indiana, and many local businesses were present throughout the day to show their support.
Jeff Widdowson of Luxenburg’s Jewelers stopped by in the morning to drop off more commemorative teddy bears. He explained that this year’s bear honors the late Dick Sherry, who owned WDAD and WQMU until 2004 and started the Teddy Bear Fund Drive.
Bears can be purchased through a minimum donation of $15 while supplies last.
Also voicing their support was Josh Rosenberger with the 700 Shop. He detailed his personal experience with pediatric care at the Indiana Regional Medical Center and Children’s Hospital after his daughter endured a ruptured appendix several years ago. He said this was a good way to give back to those people.

The total amount raised so far will be announced tomorrow morning. Collections will continue tomorrow and Friday.
