State Police are investigating a theft that happened on September 4th or 5th in Rayne Township. Troopers say that between 9:00 PM on September 4th and 5 PM on the 5th, someone entered the property of a 54-year-old Indiana man and took 30 catalytic converters and a 150-pound ball of aluminum. No other details are available.
A Cherry Tree man faces charges of endangering the welfare of children for an incident that happened last Friday afternoon. Police say that Sexton’s 4-year-old son was found at the corner of Cherry Street and Main Street in Cherry Tree Borough unattended with no shoes on. The child was secured by responsible adults until Sexton was located. The child was not harmed, but all appropriate agencies were notified.
An Indiana woman has been charged with simple assault and harassment after an incident last Saturday evening in White Township. Police say that 51-year-old Brenda Belsar was involved in an argument with 59-year-old John Kammerdiener of Indiana when she slammed a truck door on his right hand, causing lacerations and swelling. Belsar was placed in Indiana County Jail and charges were filed through District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
State police are investigating the theft of cash using someone’s debit card information. State Troopers say last Saturday, a 65-year-old Clymer man reported that an unknown person or persons were able to access his First National Bank debit card and make purchases totaling $338.25. The investigation is continuing.
INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police say that a Creekside man took several items in a burglary on August 1st. Police say Harold Stewart was in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street and took several items that did not belong to him from a location in the block. Stewart was charged in a criminal complaint with theft and receiving stolen property.
Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana man with possession of a small amount of Marijuana. Police say they encountered 22-year-old Deven Cochran in the 500 block of Water Street in possession of the marijuana. Charges were filed via criminal complaint.
