Gas prices in our area are still above the $3.10 mark, but the county-wide average is lower than that.
According to GasBuddy.com, the average cost of a gallon of gas in Indiana County is $3.08. Right now, in Indiana Borough and White Township, gas prices are at $3.13 a gallon, as are gas prices in the Homer City region, while gas prices in Blairsville were a penny cheaper at $3.12 a gallon.
Indiana County’s average gas price is actually the cheapest in the region. The most expensive gas price average among our neighboring counties is Jefferson County, with a reported average of $3.19 a gallon. Cambria has a $3.14 a gallon average, followed by Westmoreland County with a $3.13 a gallon average. Armstrong has a $3.12 a gallon average and Clearfield is the cheapest among our neighboring counties, with $3.10 a gallon.
Across the state, the average is $3.05 a gallon, down a penny from last week.
