On Tuesday night, the United School Board approved a resolution connected with the 2024-25 budget.
The resolution will set the upper limit on potential tax increases at 7.6%, which is the level set for the district by the State Department of Education. Finance Committee Chairman Aaron Conway said their intention is to not raise taxes and called the motion a necessary procedure.
Budget discussions are expected to ramp up next month.
In other business, the board approved next year’s high school curriculum guides with any revisions to be approved by the superintendent and the school board.
