A couple in Loyalhanna Township in Westmoreland County was placed under arrest after state police discovered they were operating a methamphetamine lab out of their home near Saltsburg.
State Police have charged 51-year-old Brian Miller and 53-year-old Jennifer Lynn Williams with operating a meth lab, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver, unlawfully storing chemical waste and knowingly possessing ingredients to make meth in connection with an investigation on Tuesday at their home in the 600 block of Loyalhanna Drive.
Police say they received a tip from an informant that the two had a working meth lab in their home on Tuesday. On Wednesday, troopers and the Clandestine Laboratory Response Team searched the home. The two were home at the time, and the items and chemicals collected were consistent with manufacturing meth using the red phosphorus method.
Both Miller and Williams have records in Westmoreland County, while Miller also had charges filed against him in Allegheny County. A preliminary hearing on the new charges is set for April 19th. Both are in Westmoreland County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
