Yesterday, IUP’s council of trustees met and discussed various topics, including the topic of student enrollment.
IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll said that enrollment looks down, but he said it is part of a downward trend that is being seen in a lot of places. He added that IUP did not lower it’s admission standards to allow more people in. The final numbers are expected to come out next week.
In other business, the council of trustees honored outgoing vice president of Student Affairs Rhonda Luckey, who has served IUP in various positions for 30 years with a special commendation and a resolution naming the center for health and well-being in her name. Luckey said in her final remarks that it was the students that motivated her every day at IUP.
Luckey started her IUP career as director of the University Health Service.
