State police fire marshals ruled that a fire in Glen Campbell on Monday was intentionally set.
The fire was initially reported by Indiana County 911 at 8:24 PM on April 5th, and called out Glen Campbell, Rossiter, Cherry Tree and Burnside Fire Departments, along with the RIG team and Citizens’ Ambulance. Central and Lindsey fire departments from Punxsutawney would be called in over an hour later to assist at the scene.
The fire rekindled twice yesterday. The first rekindle was reported at 6:38 AM with Glen Campbell and Burnside Fire Departments called out. A second rekindle happened at 4:56 PM, with Glen Campbell handling the duties.
State police fire marshals from Elk County were called in to investigate and classified the fire as an arson, with damage estimated at $30,000. No injuries were reported.
