A Philadelphia man will be sentenced today for three counts of forgery.
Court documents say that 24-year-old Bilal Basil Butler will be sentenced in three separate forgery cases that were filed on May 6th of 2020. Butler was charged in Indiana County for making two small purchases at the Indiana Giant Eagle and paying for them with fake $100 bills, making off with the change. When police released the initial surveillance pictures connected with the incident, they showed that even though Butler could have worn a mask because of the pandemic, he chose not to.
He is also charged with similar incidents in Cambria County.
30-year-old Tiffany Blattenberger of Blairsville is also due for a plea court session today. She is charged with DUI and related offenses in two cases. One case happened on August 14th of last year, and the other case happened exactly one month later.
